What are some cultural differences/clashes you face today? - colors of faith meaning

AssalamualikumWarahmatullahiWabarakatuh, brothers and sisters. I hope the day goes well.

I wonder whether there are cultural differences in the face, brought up in a society are more advanced than their origin or their place of birth.

For example, there was an incident where my cousin visited the United States for the first time in my native Sri Lanka, and showed a woman with a tank top and jumped.

I mean, I like .. I am to see so used to it, and I do not know what the big thing. I also grew up in the United States, I am accustomed to see and accept this kind of things around me all the time. Although this is not necessarily true enlightening as it is always a question people accept, regardless of creed, color, clothing, etc. ..

There are many more cases, but I would like to hear more of what other cultures consider "weird" or "taboo".

Jazakumullah Khair for your time and answers.

Ma'asalamah.

Asalaam alaykum wa wa wa Rahmatullahi barakatuhu.

I was born and bred here, but I like the way my parents were raised educated. I remember the first time I heard about a sleepover, I freaked. I wondered why grls were so excited that her parents wanted to leave the house, and what happens when you lose at home? (I only like 4) And if my mother had finally let me go, I was happy, played, ate dinner, watched a mini-show, then immediately called my mother to get back to me. I do not want to sleep away from home. Years later my mother told me she wanted to know how to help parents want their children may also outside the house, sleeping in a strange house. (where c 'within the family as an aunt, which is different)

Boyfriends and girlfriends .... (my parents and I am now), I do not understand why, even at the age of 4 boys with pleasing the opposite sex and are obsessed with "encounters". Thus came were impressed when they saw how 10 years of complete MAKSports E and mini-skirts.

How children can say something, and swear in public and in adults. I mean, again, most of these things does not really bother me much because all I am a little familiar, but I agree with her. It is shocking that a child is sitting on the bus next to an old lady and see the curse of the phone and start saying things like "I wish my mother was dying, she never lets me have fun." And that sentence would generously spiced with insults.

School dances. My parents have never understood what the purpose of them. For them it was "You go there to learn and something about yourself. Do not shake your ass in front of the boys. What kind of school is here?" We came to this country or give a good education and a chance at a good future and that is what we have. "

I'm used to, because I grew up here .... But older and more mature they get older, I see more and more as my parents went out.

Hope that helped.

Salamu Alaikom sister. The only problems I had to insult people in a way that I like. I found that I have problems with Muslim men and means to advance strong and I can when it is pressed. I am a Muslim, still very new, so I try to find more balance in my own personality. Apparently, in conversation with some men is a cultural asset, no, no.

Since my arrival in America, I hear, I'm too polite to tell me'''', really offended when people, because I wonder whether I'd rather be rude. The palabras''gracias'','' nada''y''disculpe''I thought that they all said. But I have more than once have done,''you say, thank you for everything''? I do not know who these people here are really excited and asked me if it's the way some people well trained. Cause he taught me that I must be nice to each, without knowing it, I would perceive as people moved, or think I'm better than others. I see it just to have been as etiqutte and I continue to be.
